If you’re a college or university student who loves to travel, or if you know an adventurous undergrad or grad student, you should learn about United’s College Plus program. Students who travel during academic breaks can not only earn miles toward a free trip, they can receive 10,000 miles for free upon graduation.

United’s offer to students is simple—join United’s frequent flyer program and earn miles for air travel, plus receive 10,000 free Mileage Plus miles upon graduation. College Plus members can earn and redeem miles in all the same ways as their Mileage Plus counterparts, with flight miles, partner activity, and affiliated credit cards.

To receive the free 10,000 miles, students must join United’s College Plus mileage program, which they can do online. There is no fee or flight purchase requirement to join, but students must be currently enrolled as full-time college or university students in the U.S.

Upon graduation, College Plus members must mail a copy of their final transcript that shows proof of graduation along with their e-mail address and United College Plus account number to:
