Six airlines offer mileage bonuses for booking online

To encourage you to make transactions online, six major airlines are offering mileage bonuses for booking on their websites. You can earn up to 1,000 miles per reservation.

The deals

Air Canada

Earn at least one Aeroplan mile for every one to three dollars spent when you purchase a ticket for domestic travel within Canada or from Canada to the United States. For more information, visit Air Canada’s website.

Alaska

Earn 1,000 Mileage Plan miles each time you book a ticket online with Alaska, including your first award-travel booking. For more information, visit Alaska’s website.

American

When you book a flight on American’s website, you’ll earn 250 miles round-trip (125 miles one-way) for an economy-class flight or 500 miles round-trip (250 miles one-way) for a first- or business-class flight. For more information, visit AA.com.

Continental

Earn 500 OnePass miles when you purchase tickets on Continental’s website. For more information, visit Continental.com.

United

  • Earn 500 Mileage Plus miles each time you book a round-trip flight online. You can also earn 250 bonus miles for one-way trips.
  • Earn up to 1,000 Mileage Plus miles each time you book a car through United’s website. United’s car rental partners are Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, National, and Sixt. For more information or to make a reservation, visit United’s website and click on your preferred car rental company.
