The first of many new ships scheduled to debut in April and May, Princess’ Emerald Princess welcomed its first passengers on April 11. It will be officially named on Mother’s Day, along with the Royal Princess, which makes its debut next week.
The
Emerald Princess
departed from Civitavecchia, near Rome, on a 12-night Greek Isles cruise to Venice. The ship will call at Naples/Capri, Italy; Santorini, Rhodes, Mykonos, Piraeus/Athens, Katakolon/Olympia, and Corfu, Greece; Kusadasi/Ephesus, Turkey; and Dubrovnik, Croatia, on its maiden voyage. The ship will continue to sail Greek Isles and Mediterranean itineraries until October when it repositions to Ft. Lauderdale.
Sister ship to the Crown Princess, the
Emerald Princess
features a piazza-style atrium, several casual dining venues, outdoor movies on the pool deck, and the adults-only Sanctuary sun deck. Princess will debut a series of culinary enhancements on the ship, including a cookies-and-milk break, homemade pizza delivered to your cabin, and new dining room menus.
